GOOLE: Contractors repairing Boothferry Bridge have pledged to hit the deadline and minimise disruption.
Work to the bridge, which carries the A614 over the River Ouse between Goole and Howden, started on Monday, February 28, and should last for about ten weeks.
Pete Vessey, senior contracts manager for the Spencer engineering company, said: "We have had decades of experience working on bridges, and are well accustomed to adhering to tight time-frames in order to cause the minimum of disruption.
"We are proud to have a strong record of delivering on time and to budget.
"This project at Boothferry Bridge forms part of a successful partnership with East Riding Council where we have carried out a variety of works."
