Helpline for victims of east Hull power surge

A 24-HOUR helpline has been set up for east Hull householders making insurance claims after a power surge.

As reported, people in the Tween Dykes Road and Leads Road area of east Hull woke last Thursday to find TVs exploding when thieves took copper wire from a substation, causing the surge.

CE Electric UK has apologised to customers in the area and will give written confirmation of the incident for insurance purposes, if needed.

Call 0800 375675 for more information.
