EAST RIDING: A Willerby restaurant has raised �325 for Macmillan Cancer Support after organising cabaret nights at the venue.

The events at Francois included live music, with tribute acts featuring songs from Buddy Holly, Frank Sinatra and Michael Bubl�.

More cabaret evenings are planned at the venue throughout 2011 to raise further funds for the charity.

Eleanor Malcolmson, fundraising manager for Macmillan Cancer Support, said: "It's fantastic that Francois is supporting Macmillan and I'm sure many more people will enjoy future cabaret dinners with the added bonus of supporting people affected by cancer."

Dates for the forthcoming cabaret evenings are scheduled for April, May and June.

Tickets cost �30 and include a �5 donation to Macmillan Cancer Support.

EAST RIDING: Two hospitality tickets for Hull City's game against Queens Park Rangers are being auctioned to raise money for a local breast cancer charity.

The winner of the text auction, which will be the highest bidder, will receive the tickets for the game at Loftus Road Stadium at 3pm on Monday, April 25.

Money raised from the tickets will be donated to Hull and East Riding (HER) Breast Friends.

The charity said the tickets, which include a three-course meal and wine, are worth more than �100 each.

Transport to the match is not included.

To place a bid, text QPRHULL followed by a space and your bid amount to 83010.

All valid bids cost one standard rate message and bids must be received by April 11.

HULL: Free lung tests are being offered to smokers who are aged 35 or older.

They take place in the city every week.

They are available at Health Central in Ferensway, city centre, from 9.30am to 12.30pm every Tuesday.
