Maria Sharapova took an early exit from the U.S. Open this afternoon, losing to Flavia Pennetta 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 in the third round.

Sharapova looked lost in the first set, and eventually fell 6-3
She got her mojo back in the second, taking a 3-0 lead
The second set featured some long, tiring games
