College Football Picks Week 4: Oregon and 3 Favorites That Will Win With Ease

The college football season is heating up in a big way, but that doesn't mean that blowout games are gone for good in 2011. There will still be plenty of those.

Week 4 of this season is certainly no exception. The following are three favorites that will have no trouble winning their games this week.

Oregon Ducks

On paper, it would seem that the Oregon Ducks have a stiff challenge ahead of them. Their opponent, the Arizona Wildcats, have been one of the more consistent teams in the conference over the last several seasons and they have a lot of talent.

It won't play out that way, though. Arizona is down this season. They have a pretty good offense, led by Nick Foles, Juron Criner and Dan Buckner, but they have yet to slow any opposing offense down.

Arizona's 1-2 record so far this season isn't a fluke. They aren't a bad team, but they aren't nearly as good as they have been in the recent past. Oregon won't have any problems getting past them this Saturday.

Virginia Tech

Quietly, Virginia Tech has had a really good season. They are sitting at 3-0 and they have to be considered a real threat to Florida State in the ACC.

The Hokies are dealing with some inexperience on both sides of the ball, but they continue to get it done. If quarterback Logan Thomas can settle down and be the quarterback Frank Beamer thinks he can be, they have a chance to be every bit as good as they have been over the last several seasons.

In week 4, they get a favorable matchup against the Marshall Thundering Herd, a 1-2 team from Conference USA that just doesn't have the talent to compete with Virginia Tech.

Florida Gators

Even though Arkansas is ranked higher than they are, the Florida Gators are the third-best team in the SEC behind LSU and Alabama.

The talented Gators' defense is every bit as good as they have been over the last few seasons and the offense that was a huge liability last season looks to be coming around behind quarterback John Brantley and running back Chris Rainey.

On the other side of the field, Kentucky is a mess. They are 2-1 on the season, but don't let that fool you. Their two wins were ugly victories over Western Kentucky and Central Michigan. Their loss was to Louisville, who has a loss to Florida International on their schedule. Kentucky may very well be the worst team in the SEC.
