Wembley final is the perfect way to end a disappointing Stags' season

Leanne Gravil, of Ollerton Stags Supporters' Club, looks forward to the team's big match today.

THE ribbons are on the car, the flags are out and the shirt is freshly washed. The excitement is becoming unbearable.

As someone who has never been to Wembley before, I cannot wait for the big day.

As a supporter of a little team like Mansfield Town, days like today are what we all dream of. Let's face it, it's been a pretty awful season – but what a great way to end it!

I just hope the Stags can pull it off and give us long- suffering fans something to shout about.

The Ollerton Stags' coaches will be departing at 8am after a pre-match breakfast of bacon rolls. A DVD of the Freight Rover Trophy win in 1987 and CDs are ready to be played on the bus to get us all in the mood – we all hope to see a bit of "Mansfield Magic" on the day!

I'm hoping that key players Paul Connor, Tom Naylor and Adam Murray will be fit and back in the starting 11.

I've got everything crossed that Louis Briscoe doesn't pick up an injury in training after what has been a nightmare last couple of months for the squad injury- wise.

With more than 14,000 Stags fans making the trip south, it's great to see the whole town getting behind the team.

What great reward for John Radford, and the previous owners Steve Middleton, Steve Hymas and Andy Saunders – we must not forget that they are fans too and really deserve this day out.

For many of the fans and players, days like this come along once in a lifetime. I am sure that the players will give it their all as it is their time on the big stage. Many are playing for new contracts and will be desperate to impress.

I hope that the Stags play their attractive passing game, as we all know they can do, but also show the battling qualities and resilience they displayed at Luton in the semi-final.

This is our big chance to attract some new fans to Field Mill next season.

The last Ollerton Stags' big day out at Cardiff ended in heartbreak. Let's hope it's a different story today.

We know that the players will do us proud and all we can ask is that they go out there and do their best. We are all so proud of our little club. Come on, you Stags!
