NORTH HULL: A car crime awareness event was due to be held today in Kingswood following four thefts from cars in the area.
The thefts happened overnight on Wednesday and yesterday and in each incident, car doors or windows were believed to have been left open.
Opportunist thieves have then gone in and searched the glove boxes and stolen items.
Police are now urging the public not to leave vehicles unsecured as it is an open invitation for thieves.
Riverside Neighbourhood Policing Team has organised the vehicle crime awareness event at The Mount car park from 10am to 3pm.
