Arnold: Arnold Arts Society is holding its spring exhibition and sale on Saturday and Sunday.

The event will take place at the Pondhills Community Centre, in Pondhills Lane.

The exhibition will include watercolours, oils, pastels and acrylics.

It will be open on both days from 10am to 5pm.

Entrance and parking are free. There will be refreshments and artwork will be available to buy.

Gedling borough: People in Gedling borough wanting to boost their fitness can save cash over the next few weeks.

The DNA membership scheme gives people unlimited access to fitness suites, exercises classes and public swimming sessions at all council-owned leisure centres in the borough.

Throughout April and May, those who attend 24 sessions within three months of joining will have their membership fee of up to �29.95 refunded.

Carlton: A music teacher from Arnold is giving a charity concert on Saturday next week.

Pianist Ivan Buckberry will perform at St John's Methodist Church, in Standhill Road, from 7pm.

His piano pieces will include Warsaw Concerto, Cornish Rhapsody, Rhapsody in Blue and the Glass Mountain. Admission is �6 (�5 concessions). All proceeds will go to the church.
