The college football season officially kicked off last night.
There weren't many games of note, but there was a meaningful game for the Wisconsin Badgers (my alma mater).
To start the season off right, I traveled to Manhattan's Upper East Side to watch the game among fellow Wisconsin alums.
Going in, I had some pivotal questions.
How would the atmosphere compare to Madison? Would we honor the Wisconsin tradition of "jumping around" before the fourth quarter? Would there be cheese curds?
Welcome to Mad River Bar and Grille on the Upper East Side, a.k.a. Madison Northeast
Buckingham U. Badger ? the friendliest weasel in town ? is in prepped and ready when we arrive an hour before game time
The bar is already packed with Badgers fans, some of whom have assimilated into NYC sports culture...
