Garrett Gilbert and company return to the field for the second game of the season against the Cougars of BYU. After the debut of the Bryan Harsin offense and what fans hope to be a rejuvenated Gilbert, the Longhorns hope to keep the momentum on their side before the head to California to take on UCLA.
BYU was down 13-0 going into the the last 10 minutes of the fourth quarter last week before a 19-yard pass from quarterback Jake Heaps and a goal-line fumble returned for a touchdown put the final nail in the Ole Miss coffin.
Texas returns to Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium after a win against Rice in hopes of continuing their offensive and defensive development under Bryan Harsin and Manny Diaz. Quarterback Garrett Gilbert's passing attack looked much better compared to last year and new weapons Jaxon Shipley and Malcolm Brown are destined to have a good season if Gilbert keeps this up.
