A REWARD of up to 15,000 is being offered to help identify and convict people involved in a Boxing Day shooting in St Ann's.
A 24-year-old man was critically injured in the incident, which happened in Westville Gardens at around 1.20am on Sunday December 26.
He sustained serious brain injuries but is now out of hospital and recovering at home.
Police have already spoken to around 50 people in connection with the incident, and ten people have been arrested so far.
Nine are currently on police bail pending further enquiries. The tenth was released without charge.
It is hoped that the reward will encourage people to come forward who may have information that could lead to a successful prosecution.
Detective Chief Inspector Tony Heydon, who is leading the investigation, said: "This was an extremely serious incident which left a young man fighting for his life.
"We need to ensure that those involved are prosecuted and, ultimately, convicted for their part in this incident.
"Rewards are offered very infrequently, but we believe it is appropriate in this instance in order to identify one or more of the very small number of individuals who believe, for whatever reason, that they can carry and even use firearms in Nottinghamshire.
"I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has vital information which they have not shared with us before now to seriously consider the reward offer and contact us."
Anybody with information is asked to contact the incident room at St Ann's police station on 0115 844 5020.
Calls will be treated in the strictest confidence and the identity of callers will be protected if required.
