Apparently the last year, and last couple of years, they?ve tried to not talk as much and just play.? Kesler has kind of turned the page a little bit, but they have some whiners and stuff over there,? said Murray.
Clowe, like [Douglas] Murray, also didn?t find it necessary to oppose Recchi?s viewpoint.
?[Recchi] said it. I?m not going to disagree with him,? said Clowe. ?I think the teams that played against them last year in the playoffs felt similar feelings.?
And while the Sharks suggested to the Mercury News?s David Pollak that their first game against their Western Conference Final opponents would involve a level of rancor commensurate with distaste for any playoff opponent, Pollak reports that the Canucks feigned ignorance regarding their perceived status:
