BEVERLEY actress Anna Maxwell Martin is up for a Bafta Television Award.
She is nominated for best actress for her role in South Riding.
The BBC series, based on the novel by Rudston-born writer Winifred Holtby, was filmed in East Yorkshire locations including Hornsea, Bridlington and Sunk Island.
Ms Maxwell, 32, has twice won the best actress award, in 2006 for her portrayal of Esther Summerson in the BBC's acclaimed production of Bleak House, and in 2009 for her role in Channel 4's Poppy Shakespeare.
The 2011 Philips British Academy Television Awards are held on Sunday, May 22.
