THE future looks bright for Josh Wallace.
He has landed a role at MSR Newsgroup and hopes to build a successful career at the firm.
In his brief time with the newsagents company so far he has been getting experience on the tills as well as in the office.
He spends much of his time at the company's Angel Row premises, though has also been to their Broadmarsh Centre shop.
"It is really interesting work," said Josh, 17.
"I really like being out on the shop floor but I also get the chance to find out more about how the business works.
"I had been doing a college course previously, but this is much more beneficial.
"It is hands-on learning and I get paid as well."
Josh, of St Ann's, is looking to do an apprenticeship with a view to gaining a business and admin qualification.
Managing director Mick Garton said: "Having an apprentice on board is really going to benefit us, as well as Josh.
"He has started very well."
