The latest injury news on Derrick Rose is not good, and proof that the Chicago Bulls star will never be at 100 percent this season. I wrote the knee bone is connected to the ankle bone article a few weeks back, but this is starting to get ridiculous.
It proves my theory that when a player gets injured, he tends to compensate for the injured area, causing other injuries to come about. For Rose, it's gone from the toe to the back to the groin to the ankle, and now the foot.
I've been told by some that I'm all gloom and doom, but I don't buy that. Where others may see the glass half full, I may not even see the glass. Even so, I like to think of myself as realistic, and that's why I'm here.
This is a fan's website. Fan is short for fanatic, which means a person with an extreme enthusiasm or zeal. It also refers to religion and a zealot; a person who shows zeal to an excessive degree.
So when I come on here and say everything's not right in the Bulls' world, that fanaticism causes readers to say things about me you can't repeat on the radio.
I don't care though, because that's my job. My job is to open your eyes to things that you can't always discern through the rose-colored-glasses you may be wearing. I'm supposed to tell you what I see and not necessarily what you want to hear.
I know there are people out there who want to see no evil, hear no evil and have me speak—or should I say write—no evil about the Bulls, but please, give me a break, because I'm just the messenger.
If I don't say it, does it mean that everything's right in your world regarding the Bulls and even more importantly, Derrick Rose? Whether I say it or not, the issues are there.

Maybe the sky's not falling, Bulls' fans, but you're putting your head in the sand if you're not acknowledging a less-than-his-best Rose is a serious threat to the Bulls' title hopes.
Some people say, "Why do you keep writing the same old thing all the time?" The answer is because it keeps on happening. Every time you think Rose is back and healed, there's another setback.
I know you don't like to keep hearing it in this PG world where every kid gets a ribbon for participating. "Please don't tell me anything bad. I can't bear it."
That's the problem in this politically correct society these days. You can't say anything that may hurt someone's feelings. Everyone's a winner, whether you are or not. "Hey, at least you tried." If there is a prize at the end, why even bother trying to win?
You show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser. As the legendary Green Bay Packers coach Vince Lombardi used to say, "Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing"
That's what this is about, right? You want the Bulls to win, and I'm telling you something that might stop that from happening. I don't want that to happen, but unfortunately I have no control over it.
There are five games left in the regular season before the playoffs begin. If the Bulls get lucky, Philly will be their opponent. They don't need a 100-percent Rose to beat them. Hell, they probably don't even need Rose in that series, but they will moving forward.
I can't predict the future—try as I might—but I do know if the Bulls win, it will be with Rose sucking it up and pulling a Michael Jordan out of his bag of tricks.
This is the real world. Sometimes things happen or are written that you don't like. Suck it up and be a man, or a women.
"Reality" TV may not be real, but this is, so strap in and get ready for the playoffs.
I'll still be here to tell you the truth, whether you like it or not.
