Lamar Miller and Other Biggest Steals in the NFL Draft

Subscribe on YouTube

When a top-10 player drops to late in the first round or even the second round, it’s a major steal for whichever team selects them.

Well, in the 2012 draft, there were three such players rated in Matt Miller’s top 10 who were selected long past expectations.

Namely, Alshon Jeffery, Matt Miller’s No. 7 overall player, fell to the Chicago Bears with the 45th overall pick. The Bears must be pinching themselves after getting such an athletic player so late.

Similarly, defensive end Nick Perry and offensive lineman David DeCastro were rated No. 9 and No. 6 overall respectively by Miller, but both came off the board late in the first round. Green Bay and Pittsburgh were hit with a stroke of luck when those two were still available.

As for other big shockers from the 2012 draft, Matt Miller is live in New York with all the answers.

Stayed tuned all weekend as Bleacher Report provides wall-to-wall coverage of the 2012 NFL draft. Bleacher Report Draft Expert Matt Miller is live at Radio City Music Hall with all the news and analysis.
