WWE News: WWE to Offer Brock Lesnar a Contract Extension?

Brock Lesnar's return to the pro wrestling world has been a roller-coaster ride, to say the least.

His unexpected comeback was one of the most exciting things to happen since the return of The Great One. But Brock certainly hasn't made the splash that many diehard fans had hoped for.

Sure, Brock can still put on one hell of a show; he proved it with his Cena storyline. But at what cost to the rest of the roster?

Still, no matter when he decides to show up and how much of his heart he decides to put in it, having Lesnar in the picture always makes things a lot more interesting. You can't deny it—Brock Lesnar is a publicity machine, and you know how much Vince loves the spotlight, especially with all the hoopla surrounding Lesnar's upcoming match at SummerSlam.

Now, after Brock's recent appearance on Raw, and his upcoming showdown with HHH, rumors have spread that Vince and Co. may be offering Mr. Lesnar a second contract (or a contract extension) once his current one ends around WrestleMania 29.

In fact, according to wrestlingnewssource.com, the new contract is "expected."

What the contract actually entails remains to be seen. Will it mean more appearances and matches for Brock? Or is this more focused on merchandising and getting his face onto more cups and video games?

Better yet, will Brock even accept the deal if placed in front of him?

At this point, all this is just speculation, but it's still a good indication of where the WWE currently sits with their Brock Lesnar experiment. If they're willing to give the guy another deal, then I guess they're happy with what they've seen so far from the former WWE and UFC champion.

As for Paul Heyman? According the lordsofpain.net, we may not have seen the last of him, either (thankfully), as it's rumored that he'll continue to work for the company in some fashion, either on camera or in the background.

But I'm more interested in what all you guys think of Brock possibly sticking around for a little while longer. Do you guys agree with the WWE's decision? Or is Brock Lesnar starting to wear out his welcome?
