Obama Thinks The Jets Are Basically Screwed With The Tim Tebow-Mark Sanchez Situation

Obama Tim TebowPresident Barack Obama called in yesterday to 97.1 The Fan's The Common Man & The Torg show, and he had some words of warning for New York Jets fans.

Obama took time to weigh in on the Jets' quarterback situation, where Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow are going to split time in different packages this year.

"I've got to tell you, I don't like the idea of a quarterback controversy at the start of the season," Obama said. "So if I was a Jets fan,  I'd be pretty nervous."

"Sanchez is not Tom Brady yet, but he led them to the playoffs two years in a row. I think Tim Tebow seems to be a wonderful young man, and he's got just a great winning attitude. He really steps up when things count. But there's going to be a lot of tension in that situation, so it'll be interesting to see how it plays itself out."

Sanchez will probably never, ever be Tom Brady.
