American beach volleyball legends Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings advanced to their third-straight Olympic gold medal match today.
The pair won a tight match against Chinese duo Xue Chen and Zhang Xi — who won bronze in Beijing — in straight sets.
The Americans have won two-straight Olympic golds, but many questioned whether they'd be able to win a three-peat in London. They barely played at all in 2009 and 2010 due to various injuries and pregnancies, and slipped to the fourth seed going into the 2012 Games.
But after some early struggles in the tournament, they're back in form.
