No, Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff, and Vince Russo are not returning to WWE. This is about the original Three Stooges, who happen to have a movie coming out next weekend.
According to this report, Will Sasso, Sean Hayes, and Chris Diamantopoulos will be guest hosting Raw this week. With all three appearing in the new Three Stooges film, it certainly would make sense.
My Thoughts on This News
Honestly, I do not mind this very much. It is no longer a weekly craze to get celebrities on Raw. That concept ended a long time ago.
Thus, getting stars to appear once in a while is not a big deal. Will Sasso and Sean Hayes are fairly big names. I am sorry, but I do not know the other man.
Taped appearances or not, I expect a very short segment. They will surely play a comedic role somewhere, and it will be over with. No harm, no foul.
Just like the Muppets being on Raw last October, I am all for funny moments in wrestling. As long as it isn't overkill, comedy is simply fun.
Sometimes folks forget to smile while watching WWE. It is okay to have a good time and not be worried about nit-picking every single segment.
Add on the hype of Brock Lesnar being back, and you have a nice buzz around Monday night. Who knows what will happen on Smackdown Friday night?
Sheamus vs. Alberto Del Rio is set.
Kane vs. Randy Orton is also set.
Even with that being said, nobody can deny that WWE has some major momentum right now. While the Three Stooges may not be everybody's cup of tea, it is another layer to making this week's Raw a "must see" show.
I know I will be watching.
