Wings Close To Another 100 Point Season

from Ansar Khan of Mlive, The Detroit Red Wings will try to reach the 100-point mark for the 12th consecutive season, extending their own NHL record, when they visit the St. Louis Blues tonight at Scottrade Center.

Detroit has 99 points with three games remaining.

“I’d like to get that just because (general manager) Kenny Holland’s got that streak going,’’ coach Mike Babcock said after Wednesday’s optional morning skate. “San Jose looks like it’s going to make the playoffs. We’re the only two teams that have made the playoffs every year since the lockout. That says a lot about ownership and consistency we’ve had.

“But all the stuff doesn’t matter much. It’s all about this year now.’‘
