Uncle Mike: Wings Are All In And Hungry

Well, you know the playoffs are here when the columnists have been directed to admit to the rest of the state that Michigan actually has a hockey team.  Looks like he had quite the sit-down with Mike Babcock, and it sounds like our Uncle Mike is a confident man.

But our real team is gonna be starting the playoffs. I’m confident and they’re confident. For whatever reason, year after year, we seem to find ways to win games. I’ve been here seven years and we’ve won tons of playoff games. I expect that to continue.

Nice little chat.  Everybody’s feeling good. Everybody’s confident. Long, productive meetings. A nice excuse why Holland and Babcock did absolutely nothing at the trade deadline.  Happiness.

And we’ll have a playoff preview/primer/manifesto for you this afternoon (your time).  Cheap Trick, live from a quaint spot in Japan, will guide us to game time.
