PRESENTING: The 20 Most Valuable Players Of 2011

"Most Valuable Player" has no real definition.

And that's the genius of it — we can argue about MVP awards for days, debating criteria but never arriving at some certifiable conclusion.

Our own definition is probably a little different than most.

It combines all the factors that make sports fun to follow — on-field performance, off-field buzzworthiness, and individual dominance.

20. Kevin Durant�? He became one of the top-three players in the NBA last season. But more importantly, he was one of the winners of the NBA lockout by keeping fans engaged with pickup games



19. Rob Gronkowski ? Tom Brady's favorite target has turned himself into the NFL's best tight-end



18. David Freese ? The MLB playoffs are all about random guys going on hot streaks. Freese's came in Game 6 of the World Series, when he hit a game-tying triple and a walkoff HR
