Did The Ducks Set Themselves Up For Their Fall?

from Jeff Miller of the OC Register, ...But, is it possible that the final six weeks of the 2010-11 season, during which the Ducks went 15-5 and Corey Perry emerged as the MVP of the league and Teemu Selanne froze time, ultimately ruined this team?

From all that late-season magic to an entire season turned tragic?

Did the Ducks fool everyone with that blinding final sprint in the spring? Everyone, from themselves to the owners to the front office to the fans to the media to the mascot?

We?re thinking the answer is yes. Yes!!! And we?re thinking it more and more now, with each mounting dose of disappointment.

The Ducks played so far above their heads then that they set themselves up for the fall now. Maybe it wasn?t inevitable, but it would have taken some gutsy leadership ? or astonishing foresight ? to avoid.
