One upset that I won't be able to call a surprise this week is if (when) Eli Manning leads the New York Giants to a win over the Dallas Cowboys.
Big Blue has won three of their last four games against the Cowboys. What's more, in each win, they were the underdog. The same scenario applies again this week, with Dallas only 1-6 against the spread when playing conference opponents this season.
Needless to say, when the Giants gain back an advantage in the NFC East race with a win over the Cowboys this week, it won't be a surprise.
Here are some QBs that will lead their teams to what will be surprising upsets, though.
Cam Newton, Panthers
Carolina will host Matt Ryan and the arena league Falcons this week. Atlanta hasn't played an outdoor game since Week 4 and they were 1-2 in those games.

The Falcons are 0-3 against the spread when playing on grass this year and the Panthers are 4-2 against the spread at home.
This is a very, very dangerous game for an Atlanta team that couldn't get things done on the road last week against the Texans.
They're fighting for their playoff lives, but have never been the same force outside as they are in the friendly confines of their dome.
Michael Vick, Eagles
![]()
Enough is enough already. Vick is going to be back on the field this week and he's taking on a mediocre Dolphins team that has played above and beyond its ability for too long.
Vick was just given a $100 million contract this offseason, yet his team is 4-8 with nothing to play for barring a ridiculous turn of events that allows them to win the NFC East as a result of the Giants and Cowboys being beyond hopeless.
The Eagles are three-point dogs against the Dolphins in Miami.
Although the chances are remote at best for the playoffs, Vick needs to win this game.
T.J. Yates, Texans
It is not much of an upset if the 9-3 Texans knock off the 7-5 Bengals, but Cincinnati is favored by three at home against an inexperienced rookie QB.
![]()
The Bengals have an inexperience rookie QB of their own and they've lost three of their last four games.
Houston comes in with a dominant defense and a more experienced Titans team just waiting for Yates to fail.
He won't have to make a ton of big plays, but he cannot lose this game for the Texans.
Look for Arian Foster, Ben Tate and the Texans defense to do their part and for Yates to make one or two plays necessary for an "upset" win.
