The ebbs and flows of the NFL season are crystal clear at this point in the season…or so you think.
Despite gobs of evidence, there are two home favorites in Week 14 that should be favored by at least a field goal more than they currently are. I’m here to help point these out before Vegas linesmakers adjust.

Chicago Bears vs. Denver Broncos -3.5
The Bears may have a terrific defense and Devin Hester on special teams, but they also have QB Caleb Hanie.
He is fresh off a loss to QB Tyler Palko and the Chiefs—at home—and looked lost out there. He produced 133 yards on 24 attempts and threw three interceptions.
The Colorado State star will be having a homecoming of sorts in Denver, but don’t expect the Tebowmaniacs to give him a very warm welcome.
Hanie and the Bears are playing a Broncos team that is 5-0 ATS in its last five games because people still don’t have faith in QB Tim Tebow.
After his 10-of-15 performance for 202 yards, it’s clear Tebow is getting more comfortable in the offense. He is improving his throwing motion and, more importantly, he’s not turning the ball over. He was a grand total of one interception in 6.5 games played.
RB Willis McGahee has run for 228 yards in the past two weeks as he has taken advantage of defenses that have no clue how to defend the Broncos' unique offense.
With a defense that is getting better by the week that should keep improving once explosive rookie linebacker Von Miller's back, expect Tebowmania to roll on without the need for another fourth quarter miracle.

Prediction: Broncos 23, Bears 10
Philadelphia Eagles at Miami Dolphins -3
The Eagles have waved the white flag. All you needed to do was watch their performance on Thursday Night Football to see why.
WR DeSean Jackson has checked out, the defense is making mental miscue after mental miscue, and QB Michael Vick and WR Jeremy Maclin seem in no hurry to rush back from their injuries. Only RB LeSean McCoy is still trying right now for Philly.
The Dolphins are one of the most dangerous teams in the NFL right now, allowing less than 11 points per game in their last five.
They are a last-second field goal away from sporting a five-game winning streak.
This is the perfect example of one team playing out the string and collecting checks while another is fighting to save its coach and its own jobs.
Prediction: Dolphins 27, Eagles 13
John Baker Brad Davis Logan Morrison Mike Stanton Josh Bailey Mark Eaton
