
The attorney for one of Jerry Sandusky's alleged victims acknowledged that his client had dinner with Sandusky and his wife over the summer, Sara Ganim of the Patriot-News reports.
The man — a 24-year-old identified as Victim Six in the grand jury report — told police about the dinner invitation beforehand and talked to them about it afterward, his lawyer says.
Sandusky's attorney, Joe Amendola, said yesterday that several of the alleged victims still have cordial relationships with Sandsuky.
But Victim Six's lawayer balked at Amendola's suggestion:
It is grotesque that Sandusky or his lawyer would suggest that a victim of molestation attending a dinner Sandusky invited him to is somehow a defense to the indefensible actions of which Sandusky has been accused.
Sandusky was aware that he was being investigated at the time, and sold the dinner as "an opportunity to catch up with former Second Mile participants."
Police asked Victim Six to wear a wire, but he was too nervous to.
