The bowl season will see a number of teams end their season on a high note with a huge victory. However, a team like the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will absolutely dominate their bowl game this year.
Notre Dame heads to the Champs Sports Bowl against the Atlantic Coast Conference’s Florida State Seminoles. This is a Seminoles team that started this season struggling, losing three of their first five games.
Against Florida State, the Irish will take advantage of the Seminoles defense that gave up an alarmingly high 32 points per game. The Irish and their dangerous passing attack will rip the Seminoles secondary. Florida State’s passing defense gave up a total of 3,092 yards last year, with 257 yards per game and 23 touchdowns.
Notre Dame’s Tommy Rees and Michael Floyd will have career days against Florida State, which will result in a huge blow out victory for the Fighting Irish.
Boise State vs. Arizona State Las Vegas Bowl
![]()
Boise State has the 10th best passing attack in the NCAA, averaging 310 passing yards per game. Arizona State has one of the worst passing defenses in the Pac-12, averaging 310 passing yards per game.
That means that not only is Boise State going to throw the ball all over Arizona State, they will have an easy time doing so.
Boise State heads into this Las Vegas Bowl as an 13.5 point favorite.
This is a large point spread for any team, let alone a mid-major going against a BCS school. Boise State is the better team, and will prove this by not only covering but winning by 20 or more points.
Houston vs. Penn State Ticket City Bowl
![]()
Penn State had a great year when it comes to overall record and playing defense. However, since the Jerry Sandusky scandal broke and ripped what was a great season to shreds, they have tanked.
Houston has been one of the best offenses in the NCAA. Their dangerous offense has flatlined in one game this year. It just so happened that their one game was in the Conference USA championship game, with a BCS Bowl Bid on the line.
Against Penn State, the Cougars will cover their 7.5 point spread. Houston’s quarterback Case Keenum will have his typical, 350 yard passing game with four touchdowns.

Houston will end this Penn State miserable season with an embarrassing loss in Dallas by blowing them out by 30 or more points.
Three bowl games that will see these teams end their seasons on high notes. Not only will they all win their games, but they will take this momentum to have a great 2012 season.
