The New York Yankees' season is over.
The Bombers were eliminated by the Detroit Tigers in game five of the ALDS tonight, 3-2.
People will surely question Joe Girardi's moves in this game — he used SEVEN pitchers. But it's the offense that really let down the Yanks.
Alex Rodriguez and Mark Teixeira hit .118 and .167 respectively in this series.
When you take a step back, this Yankees team probably was never good enough to legitimately compete for a world title.
I mean, come on, Ivan Nova was their No. 2 starter.
But they're the Yankees, so this is definitely a disappointment.
