Burglar caught napping naked ... in victim's house: Jail for 22-year-old

A BURGLAR broke into the home of a 72-year-old woman and fell asleep in her bed.

Stephen Cameron was only woken when three burly police officers arrested him.
The 22-year-old prolific burglar had broken into the property in Regent's Terrace, Bridlington, on his way home from a nightclub in the resort.
He drank her alcohol, before taking his clothes off and going to sleep in her bed naked.
Luckily, the pensioner was away on holiday at the time and it was not until her daughter-in-law checked her home at 12.30pm the next day that she discovered Cameron asleep.
Prosecutor Stephen Welsh said: "She was particularly shocked to discover a man was fast asleep in the double bed in the house and alerted the police.
"She was particularly concerned because a knife had been removed from the knife block and was missing.
"The defendant was naked in the bed and expressed confusion to being arrested.
"He said he couldn't remember anything from leaving a nightclub the previous evening and the first thing he was aware of was when he heard shouting and found three policemen dragging him from the bed in a strange house."
The pensioner had left her home at 3pm on December 18. Cameron was discovered asleep in the house at 12.30pm on December 19.
Cameron, of New Burlington Road, Bridlington, pleaded guilty to burglary at Hull Crown Court.
He had been released halfway through a four-year sentence for burglary at the time he committed the offence.
Judge Jeremy Baker QC jailed him for 18 months.
