Optimism Remains In Phoenix

via Lisa Halverstadt of the Arizona Republic, “I still retain optimism and I don’t think that’s foolish optimism,” Coyotes president Mike Nealy said Monday.

He said former San Jose Sharks chief Greg Jamison calls him regularly to ask for information as he works toward buying the team…..

“It’s still moving forward,” Nealy said. “It’s zigging and zagging a bit but Greg Jamison is still working toward the ultimate resolution with the public issues that are out there. At the end of the day, the league is still interested in keeping the team here.”

But no official timeline has been set for the sale so Nealy and the rest of the front-office staff are focusing on what they can control.

The team’s Western Conference Finals appearance last season is helping.

As of Monday, Nealy said season-ticket renewals and sales are at record highs for the franchise.
