Brock Lesnar is never going to return to the WWE.
At least not while he is under contract with UFC.
Rumors started circulating that Lesnar may wrestle in the WWE because he is appearing in a video game that is licensed by them.
Dana White was quick to quash the rumors and let the world know that Lesnar is his possession.
'They asked if he could be in the game. What does it hurt me if the guy is in the video game?,' White said, according to Fighters Only. 'Brock gets to make some money on the WWE side, they make a great game and Brock is in it. They sell some games and he is still in my game, too. It's not a big deal, it's an easy give for me. If next weekend he wanted to wrestle with the WWE, that's a different story. Brock Lesnar will never wrestle for the WWE while he's under contract to me. But to be in their video game? That's part of his history.'
I think White makes the smart business call by doing this and also appears to be generous in the eyes of Lesnar and those who want him to appear in the WWE.
Lesnar was a three-time WWE champion and rose to prominence in that organization before catching on with UFC in 2008.
He still has a large fanbase in professional wrestling that has grown because of his popularity in UFC. They now get to see him wrestle and play as him in a video game, which is a solid compromise.
Lesnar reportedly made $5.3 million in 2010 and is the highest paid mixed martial artist on the planet.
White isn’t going to let someone who he pays out so much money for just jump to (somewhat) of a competing company without getting a hefty check in return.
You have to respect White for protecting his assets but also appeasing his employees.
