Tim Tebow: Will Today's Game Be the Crucible, Which Decides His Fate?

A season's body of work, consisting of what will soon be 12 games, culminating with today's playoff game, represents Tebow's NFL resume under the leadership of Bronco VP John Elway.

A resume that will undoubtedly, cause Elway a great deal of consternation going forward regarding the future landscape and culture of the Denver Broncos.

Football fans, Tebow-exclusive followers and every so-called, expert pundit from far and wide have weighed in vociferously with their assessments of Tebow, but the only assessment and opinion which truly matters, is that of Elway.

The Broncos as a team have a wide array of positional needs to fill that must be attended to, with the QB position being one.

At the very least, a quality QB is a need which must be filled from a competitive and depth aspect. The competition at this position must be fierce in seven months.

Come April when the NFL Draft rolls around, does Elway draft a QB, sooner rather than later or does or does he prioritize other pressing needs and place the need for a QB on the back burner?

Will today's game, one which places Tebow on the biggest stage of his young career, be the deciding crucible that carries the most weight in Elway's decision-making process, or will this game merely act as the final puzzle piece?

Elway has vowed to work with Tebow on his skill set shortcomings during the offseason with the hope of being able to mold and shape him into the QB he envisions for his franchise.

In my opinion, Tebow goes into training camp as the incumbent, with the starting position his to lose.

The clock is ticking towards the draft and time will fly in order for Tebow to improve significantly in key areas prior to April, as Elway's legacy remains joined to that of Tebow.

The only question that remains is how much emphasis Elway places on today's game, with the spotlights shining their brightest on Tebow, Elway and the franchise, and what impact, it will have in further the shaping the makeup of the Broncos.
