Patriots vs. Ravens: Why Tom Brady Will Lead New England Back to Super Bowl

To say New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is rolling right now would be a ridiculous understatement. The NFL's reigning MVP has had a fantastic season, but during New England's current nine-game winning streak he has been almost perfect.

This season Brady completed 65.6 percent of his passes for a career-high 5,235 yards, with 39 touchdowns and just 12 interceptions. He added to those numbers during New England's 45-10 rout of the Denver Broncos in the divisional round of the playoffs by throwing for 363 yards and a ridiculous six touchdowns.

During the Patriots' current nine-game winning streak, Brady has been as good as he has at any point during his career. Over that stretch the 34-year-old has thrown for 2,895 yards (321.7 yards per game), with 25 touchdowns and just three interceptions.

A big reason for Brady's success has been the development of his two second-year tight ends, Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez. Gronkowski has had a record-breaking season, catching 90 balls for 1,327 yards (which led all NFL tight ends) and 17 touchdowns, which set the NFL record for the position. Meanwhile, Hernandez hauled in 79 passes for 910 yards and seven scores.

Gronkowski added 10 catches for 145 yards and three more scores against the Broncos, while Hernandez had four catches for 55 yards and a touchdown as well.

In addition to those second-year wonders, receiver Wes Welker led the NFL in receptions (122) and was second in receiving yards (1,569) and finished with nine touchdowns. Fellow receiver Deion Branch also had a solid season with 51 catches for 702 yards and five scores.

Brady has confidence in all of his weapons and he has spread the wealth among them. The Patriots' offense is rolling right now and while they face an excellent Baltimore Ravens defense in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday, I just can't see anyone stopping New England right now.

Brady's hand is currently too hot and his targets are all playing too well. Try as they might, the Ravens won't be able to slow them down.
