Former parish councillor jailed for growing cannabis

A former East Riding parish councillor has been jailed for growing cannabis.

Steve Crowther, who represented Flamborough Parish Council, was discovered to have 173 illegal plants in his lock-up in Flamborough and his van.

At an earlier hearing, he pleaded guilty to being concerned with the production of cannabis.

Today, the 57-year-old, of Marine Valley, Flamborough, was jailed for 15 months.
