Burn?s Injury A Concern For McLellan

from David Pollak of the Mercury News, Afterward, coach Todd McLellan voiced more concern about the potential loss of Burns than he did with how his team?which has only one victory in its past five games?played against the NHL team with fewer points than all but one other.

?The doctors are still evaluating him,? the coach said. ?I know he doesn?t feel good, and I would doubt that he?s going to play for us tomorrow. It?s knee on knee, he doesn?t return, and he?s not walking very well.?

Though the initial pain had subsided, Burns still seemed to be in discomfort when he talked with reporters about the hit and his initial reaction.

?You feel pretty hot, and I thought I was going to throw up,? said Burns, who initially went to the bench, then headed to the locker room once he felt a little better.

Burns also wanted to make it clear he didn?t regard Hemsky as a dirty player delivering a cheap shot.

?It happens. It?s a quick game, it?s a quick reaction,? Burns said. ?I?ve been on the other end. It?s not his fault. I know that.?
