HOSPITAL staff helped raise almost 1,000 for patient care by having a tea break.
Nottingham University Hospitals Charity, which raises money for the Queen's Medical Centre and City Hospital, asked staff to take part in events for a tea break week last month.
Radiotherapy receptionist Lisa Tomlinson and support worker Tessa Footitt organised a tea party at the Radiotherapy Centre at the City Hospital, which raised more than 200.
Another tea break in the Dialysis Unit at the City Hospital raised almost 250.
Charity director Barbara Cathcart said: "We wanted to do something that all the hospital staff could get involved with, to help raise money for the patients they treat. It's great to see how many members of ward and office have taken part."
The charity exists to support the work done at both hospitals by funding specialist equipment and medical research.
