Six fire crews called to blaze at city flats

​Firefighters were called to a blaze at a block of flats in Nottingham city centre.

Six fire engines including one with an aerial ladder attended the blaze at the Castle Exchange in George Street.

The emergency services were called at 7.10pm tonight. No one had to be evacuated from the flats.

Two crews from Central Fire Station, one from Carlton, one from Arnold and one from Stockhill were at the scene, plus the aerial ladder platform. They put out the fire within an hour.
