New Hull to London train timetable sees two-and-a-half hour journeys

First Hull Trains has announced a new summer timetable which will see some trains complete the Hull to London journey in two-and-a half hours.

The company's sales and marketing manager, David Townend, said: "The new timetable is the result of a huge amount of hard work between our performance and planning team and Network Rail.

"We are really pleased, 11 years on from our launch, that we are continuing to improve journey times to this extent."

WiFi will also be introduced on trains as part of the revamp, with the summer/autumn timetable beginning on Sunday, May 22.
