Van crashes as fallen tree closes main road

A fallen tree has disrupted traffic on a main road in Cottingham.

The B1233 Harland Way was closed at 8.11am and remains shut as police deal with the obstruction.

A white van crashed into the tree as it came down, causing minor damage to the vehicle.

Police said the occupants of the vehicle were not hurt.

It has caused traffic to slow on both directions at the West End Road junction and the A164 Skidby Roundabout.
